Disaster Response on FacebookWebsite
The fg-s.community activated Safety Check for the wildfires across New South Wales and Victoria and South Australia, on Dec 30. Since then, we've seen people across the fg-s.community use Crisis Response, Groups and Fundraisers to mobilize support and help those impacted most, including the largest-ever Facebook fundraiser globally created by an Australian actor and comedian that has raised more than $46M+ AUD ($32M+ USD) to support The Trustee for NSW Rural Fire Serv...ice & Brigades (see fundraiser below).
11选5开户 To help support and amplify our community’s efforts, Facebook is matching up to AU$1 million in donations made to GlobalGiving, which will be directing the funds to local, community-led relief organizations in Australia like the Australian Red Cross, Foodbank Australia, WIRES and Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors.
All donations made on both crisis pages (links below) or through the Donate Button on top of Newsfeed are eligible. So far, the community has raised over AU$800,000 and counting!

After two months of ongoing recovery from Hurricane Dorian, we are thankful for the generosity of the fg-s.community. Together, the community has raised more than $3.6M for the American Red Cross to help people affected in the Bahamas and the U.S.
In Grand Bahama, water is contaminated, homes are damaged and people are figuring out how to move forward after Hurricane Dorian. Even in these tough circumstan...ces, communities on this island are proving hope is stronger than a hurricane. Thanks to generous donors, Red Cross volunteer teams are providing the aid people need to take the next steps towards recovery.
